Handbrake: A Video Conversion Tool

I wanted to upload this video to YouTube: My Sesame Street Pledge Drive Video, but it was originally recorded to a VHS tape with a VCR. The steps I needed to take are below. I didn't know how to do Step 3. I was discussing it at lunch at work, and someone suggested I use Handbrake. handbrake.fr. At the time, it was commandline-only, but they've since created a nice GUI.

Step 1: Copy VHS to a DVD.

Step 2: Copy DVD to my computer

Step 3: Convert DVD to an edit-able format

Step 4: Use the video editor that came standard on my mac to splice out my favorite parts.
